Nicki Minaj is known for making outrageous statements, but this time it's family drama that has put the rapper in the headlines!
The 29-year-old Pink Friday singer appeared on ABC's Nightline and proceeded to paint her father in a very unflattering light, describing him as a drug addict and alcoholic who was abusive with her mother.
"I wanted to kill [my dad]. I used to wish he was dead," she told the show's host.
Now, Minaj's father Omar is fighting back against the allegations, claiming that he did have anger issues, but they weren't nearly as bad as they were made out to be. He is said to be devastated that his famous daughter decided to speak badly about their relationship in the public.

If nothing else, maybe the feud will give her inspiration to write some new songs.

I don't believe one should talk ill of his or her family no matter how bad they are or were. They are still family. No matter how bad her father is or was, it's wrong for her to speak ill of him publicly. At the end of the day, she is still the daughter of that same evil man she is trying to potray and will always be. It's so unfortunate what stars would do or say just to remain relevant.

Ah, not when you have a terrible father...some men don't deserve that name. Some rape their daughters, brutalize their wives infront of the kids....dont u know that such act hunts the child forever except they receive Christ. It can even rub a child his/her sense of identity. Please, better ask somebody...some men don't deserve that name FATHER.

That father was and is a very good dad to my siblings and I, but I live in the States and I am talking from my personal obervations and confessions from pple around.

@anonymous: you have a point.
