Michelle Obama Covers Ebony Magazine

First Lady,Mrs. Obama, covers the May 2012 issue of Ebony magazine, on newsstands April 17.
Inside the issue, she talks about her responsibilities keeping the president focused, and on raising two daughters to be respectful, kind empathetic young women who should never let a man disrespect them.
The cover photo was shot by Marc Baptiste at the White House, according toMichelleObamaWatch.com.
On raising Sasha and Malia:
MICHELLE OBAMA: “Barack and I feel that our greatest responsibility is to raise two productive, respectful, kind empathetic young women.”
On counteracting negative depictions of women in pop culture for the girls:
“My husband talks to our girls about how he expects men in their lives to treat them, and he offers examples by how he treats me and how he treats them.”
On the President dealing with his daily grind:
“He functions better every day when he gets his workout in. It clears his mind–it gets him ready. I don’t think there’s anybody who can imagine just what that man deals with over the course of a 24-hour period. He is able to do it because he is mentally and physically sharp, so it’s a necessity.”

In today's world where divorce is now a daily event among couples, it is always lovely to see a happy family like the obamas'. This is a man who has just 2 daughters and still loves his wife. If it was in nigeria, the man would have started thinking of how to send her packing because of a male child. SMH. I just thank God there are still couples like this to inspire young ones to believe in true love and marriage. - BRIGHTINO
